We're glad to share that Ren has won NUS Enterprise's N-House (NUS Enterprise House) Pitch Night again — taking the Odyssey Track at N-House Pitch Night 2026, hosted at Workato Singapore and organised together with NUS Enterprise and the N-House community.
It's a milestone we're proud of. But the trophy isn't really the headline. What matters more is what happened in the months before it.
What got us here
In the four months leading up to the 2026 win, Ren went from a promising pilot to real infrastructure inside real classrooms:
- 12+ institutional pilots across leading Singapore schools, JCs, and universities
- 5,000+ students and 50+ teachers actively using the platform
- Revenue-generating — more on that soon
That traction is the actual story. An award is a snapshot; a teacher reaching for Ren on a Sunday night to mark a stack of essays is the thing we're building for.
How it started
Rewind one semester. Ren was an idea sketched out in a study cubicle in BIZ1. Within six months it had gone from concept to a market-ready product deployed in its first classrooms — and won N-House Pitch Night 2025 at EnterpriseSG, along with the NUS Enterprise 10K VIP Grant.
Back then we were serving just over 600 students. Two pitch nights later, that number has grown nearly tenfold. None of it would have happened without our team, Justin Cheah and Natasha Koh, and the early adopters who believed in the product before there was much to believe in.
What we're actually building
Ren is a teaching and learning system built around feedback loops. We track every comment and every grade across every assignment — not just exams — so teachers can see gaps early and act before students fall behind. The goal is to make education pre-emptive rather than reactive.
Every script, worksheet, and essay marked on Ren adds to a live picture of each student's progress, instead of disappearing the moment it's handed back. Our grading and suggestion features are pedagogically backed, AI-powered, teacher-first, and calibrated to each school's own rubrics.
We're building the marking and feedback infrastructure for schools — starting in Singapore, with an eye on classrooms everywhere.
